Dear Santa,
The holidays are nearly here, and I know some well-deserving ponies that could use some extra schwag near their stalls this holiday time.
Sinari has been the best this year, for her I would like to make her job easier. Perhaps a Back on Track Blanket to complement her arsenal of Back on Track Saddle pads? Or hey that County Saddle we've had our eyes on for the last two years would be lovely as well.
For Sincere, who doesn't really need much, extra apples (fresh Gaylas are his favorite) for him and extra time with me who doesn't get to see him very much. If you can find a way to turn him into mini Toto, that would be great too, but I like him anyways.
Also Santa, don't forget about the two newbies. They're cruising along too:)
Mr. Merlot needs a great new home where a kid or an adult amateur can love on him all day long and take him out and kick ass with him. I'm sure he's easily transportable in that sled of yours and won't eat the cookies, and I'm sure you have a list of little girls who would just dote on him.
For Wylie, a way to organize himself. Although he is getting there quickly, somedays are physically challenging. Also if you could let him get about 100lbs of muscle while in Florida. That boy has some talent and would be fun to go play at the top with him.
Finally Santa, if you have room for one or two more things for myself, it would be awesome.
I know you can't increase the hours in a regular day (more would be appreciated), but if you can find a small tour horse that I could compete CDI's with I would be greatly obliged, and help me finish the L program and obtain my scores for my Silver, produce another wonderful young horse and just go out and have fun, it would be great. But since you know me, I would settle for a good year and good horses any day of the week.
You know where I live:)

Being apart of it
My very late weekly update is presented by the letters N, Y and C.
I flew out a week ago to do my yearly hiatus-from-the-world thing, only to end up in the middle of it and a never-ending barrage of calls from people who want to see me, people who I want to see and people who'd I like to work for.
A lot of the calls were mostly positive and hopefully will have excellent outcomes.
But, it's funny how you get away from it all only to be found in the thick of things.
I grew up and in this town and I'm fond of it. I know most of the good spots, but when you've lived away from a place that changes quickly, the thing leaves you behind. Not complaining, while NYC isn't my preferred cup of tea, but it isn't too shabby.
Currently staying with family and things are working out alright. Just after walking the NYC Marathon, you tend not to care if your dear ol da is a raging conservative, and you're the stark libertarian in the family.
The horses, I hear, are fine. They made their move in to their new facility. Sinari, who is staying temporarily with the herd, could care less as long as she gets enough grass. Sincere loaded like a champ and is getting his sea legs for travel. May, however, pulled her usual I don't wanna routine, and after bribery and fussing she loaded on.
Good news about May's situation, is that there is a tentative home for her. More on this later, for now though, I'm just chilling and looking like a fat.

Mamma told me there be days like this
I take vacations in a few places, I either go to Europe, Canada or home.
I haven't been home in two to three years, and frankly I'm due for a visit.
Home is New Jersey. Right outside of NYC, although I have family in and out of it. I love the city, it's a huge change of pace and an innoculation of culture, pace and colorful language.
Things have, of course, changed. Whether for better or worse, I don't know yet.
But it was a comforting sight when I walked in through the door of my bedroom to find things still pretty much looking the same.
The trip itself was mildly unpleasant.
We got to CVG on time, go through security, took a turbulent flight to Dulles only to find our scheduled connection canceled. The nearest available flight was 5pm to LaGuardia and we quickly booked via customer service rep that had zero clue how to operate a computer.
We busted to get out at the terminal to have it pushed back not once, not twice, but three times. To about 8.
Didn't take off until 8:30. We were out on the tar in a tin can until 8:30, arrived at Penn Station about 10:13, waited for the next train until 10:45. Got home exactly at midnight.
Somewhere between this our luggage wasn't transferred from the EWR plane to the LGA plane. So we're fending off of what we have until the courier arrives.
I promise to post pictures-- eventually. Considering most of my wires (not the cameras) were in the checked bag.
Miss the ponies already, but breakfast calls.
